The RK3588 SOM is the main component of a SOM based system.It contains the essential components required for the system to function, such as the CPU, RAM, and flash memory. The Core Board is designed to be inserted into a larger carrier board or baseboard, which provides additional functionality and interfaces specific to the application requirements.
The purpose of using a SOM Core Board is to simplify the development process of embedded systems. By using a pre-designed and pre-tested android ARM board, developers can focus on designing the application-specific functionalities and peripherals on the carrier board, rather than spending time on the complex hardware design of the entire system.
